NYK Forklifts is family owned and operated; yet it is part of Nichiyu Global Corporation, with its supporting branches all over Australia. Nichiyu is the largest—and oldest—manufacturer of Battery Electric lift trucks in Japan.

The company was first established in Australia in 1923 when it was named QBM, changing in 1992 to NYK.

Due to our fierce desire to provide the highest possible level of service, our clients keep on coming back. We provide the right training to our technicians and they in turn are dedicated and professional in their work. Our technical staff has over 95 years' combined experience in the industry, servicing Nichiyu forklifts.

NYK's strength lies in our ability to manage all facets of a material handling operation. We do not merely provide the equipment; we offer a consistent total customer service to ensure the equipment use provides maximum productivity.

Our differences are:

•  A two-hour service response time (Less in most cases)
•  A dedicated Field Service Controller and mobile supervisor ensures full support and superior customer service.
•  Modern, fully equipped workshop, where we can perform major overhauls, rebuilds & resprays.

Our Queensland head office is located at Archerfield in Brisbane (SEQ) and is very central to all industrial locations in the region.

About Nichiyu

Nichiyu have gained a reputation for offering very robust, reliable equipment that is both economical to maintain and very user-friendly. Rugged construction, reliability and low maintenance costs are a testament as to why more and more industries are using Nichiyu equipment.

Background

Nichiyu commenced manufacturing battery electric forklifts in the late 1930s and produced their first 'Narrow aisle reach truck' in 1958. Most Nichiyu equipment is manufactured in their factory in Japan. They even make their own lift and drive motors, which are wound by hand, and have attained a proven reliability that other manufacturers only dream of.
